This Privacy Policy applies to the Delete Photos iOS app. It explains how the app handles relevant information when you browse, review, mark, favorite, add to albums, or delete photos and videos.

This policy explains how the Delete Photos iOS app uses Photos access, processes photos on your device, uses Apple Maps, and stores necessary local data.
2. Information We Process
Delete Photos uses Apple PhotoKit to access the photos and videos you authorize. The scope of access depends on the Photos permission you grant in iOS. When you use Organize by Location, the app also reads embedded capture coordinates when they are available.
The app currently has no account system. It does not require you to create an account and does not collect usernames or passwords for sign-in.
3. How Photos and Videos Are Processed
Browsing, reviewing, grouping, and color analysis are performed on your device. Photos and videos are not currently uploaded to the developer's servers.
When you use Organize by Location, embedded photo coordinates are temporarily sent to Apple Maps for reverse geocoding into region names such as country, state or province, city, or district. The developer's servers do not receive these coordinates.
The app uses PhotoKit to read or modify only the authorized items needed for photo-organization features you choose to use.
4. Data Stored on Your Device
To preserve settings and your cleanup experience, the app may store necessary data locally, including:
- app settings;
- onboarding status;
- review history;
- cleanup result records;
- identifiers for system albums you select;
- region classifications and versioned hashed index keys created by Organize by Location; and
- primary-color classifications created by Organize by Color.
The app does not store the original precise latitude and longitude from a photo. This local data supports app functionality. It does not mean your photo or video files are uploaded.
5. Favorites and Selected Albums
When you choose to favorite an item, the app can use PhotoKit to add it to system Favorites or to a regular system album you selected. The destination depends on your settings and action.
The app uses the existing Photos library asset when adding an item to an album; it does not create a duplicate image file for that purpose.
6. Photo Deletion Process
Swiping up only marks a photo for deletion. It does not delete the photo immediately. The complete deletion process is:
- the photo is marked for deletion;
- you review it in the pending-deletion list;
- you give final confirmation in the app;
- iOS asks you to confirm again; and
- PhotoKit performs the deletion after confirmation.
Whether an item can be recovered depends on Recently Deleted in iOS, system policy, device state, and your later actions. The app does not guarantee that a deleted item can be recovered.
7. Permissions and Limited Photos Access
If you choose Limited Photos access, the app processes only the photos and videos you allow. It does not force access to other items when you have not expanded permission.
You can review or change Photos access in iOS Settings at any time. Reducing or revoking access may prevent some browsing, cleanup, favorite, album, or deletion features from working.
8. Uploads, Advertising, and Tracking
Photos and videos are not currently uploaded to the developer's servers. When Organize by Location uses Apple Maps, embedded coordinates are temporarily sent to Apple, not to the developer's servers. The app currently contains no advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking SDK.
This website currently sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
9. Apple System Services
The app relies on Apple services such as PhotoKit, the system Photos library, permission prompts, deletion confirmation, and Apple Maps reverse geocoding. Apple's policies and system rules apply to those services and their data handling.
If you use iCloud Photos, asset availability can also depend on Apple systems and your iCloud settings. This does not mean Delete Photos uploads your photos to the developer's servers.
10. Retention and Deletion of Local Data
Necessary settings, onboarding status, review history, cleanup records, album identifiers, region classifications, versioned hashed index keys, and primary-color classifications are stored locally for as long as app functionality and device state require.
You can remove applicable local data through available in-app controls, system settings, or by deleting the app. Deleting the app may also remove local cleanup records that were not otherwise retained. Photos in the system library remain managed by iOS Photos.
11. Children's Privacy
Delete Photos is not designed specifically for children. Minors should use the app with a parent or guardian's knowledge and guidance, especially before deleting photos.
12. Data Security
We reduce unnecessary exposure through on-device processing, least-privilege access, and iOS system confirmation. No software or device can promise zero risk. Protect access to your device and review items carefully before deletion.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this policy if app features, data handling, or applicable requirements change. A new effective date and version will be shown on this page.
